Episode 59: Podcast Saga Part 12 - My Time, My Show

It's probably in poor taste to talk about my own show in a "review show," but this has never been the typical review show. It's been "my show" composed of my thoughts. So here's some more of that...

As far as audio that wasn't meant for us, these two podcasts and there radio-esque nature were meant for the communities they were rooted in. But surprisingly... that concept is pretty open ended.

Episode 56: Podcast Saga Part 9 - Great "Found" Podcasts

There's a whole lot you can do with podcasting. Or with audio in general. So how about we discuss some shows that try to tell out a story out of supposedly random or found tapes.

Could you have found footage in podcasting? Obviously. And some examples of the genre are better than others.

Episode 54: Podcast Saga Part 7 - And Now Money (Hopefully) Gets Involved

You can look at it this: this episode is unsolicited financial advice for a $100 million dollar start up.
OR it's free consulting.

Because M thinks Luminary could be leaving money on the table by focusing on the wrong starting point

Episode 53: Podcast Saga Part 6 - Missteps on the Road to...

Luminary had a troubled launch, but I think a part of it is that no one fully knows what's going on. And no, I'm not just talking about the lack of communication between Luminary and the podcast world.

Luminary unintentionally stepped on landmines of podcasting norms that need to be fleshed out. Maybe the concept can be salvaged. Maybe not, but until we understand what went wrong and what went right, I don't think we can make the judgment call.

Episode 48: Podcast Saga Part 1 - Are They Just Radio 2.0?

Today, we're going to start something "epic" (hard quotes). M wants to begin to dissect what made audio fiction podcasting in the first place, what gives it its appeal, and what makes it the cultural force that it is.

And we're going to start by clarifying if these shows are all just radio dramas reborn.
